22/10/2015

Silnam Trainees How fast we reduce the digital divide depends on several factors, including how fast we handle a case or a need for a citizen or community in the field of education and training, access to computers and connectivity to the internet to be able to participate in the digital socio-economic environment. Oracle Business Intelligence and Oracle Siebel Public Sector solutions provide social services agencies with an integrated case management solution for managing citizen and community relation. By consolidating and reducing the lifecycle to handle a case for a citizen or a community and by enabling a workflow-driven case flow, these solutions enable optimal service and rapid case resolution - be it a case for social assistance, training, education, donation of computers, technical assistance, etc. The Oracle solutions also assist in promoting organizational efficiency by reducing costs and complexity of analysis, bring ease and enable agencies and institutions to take quick and informed decision and actions, thereby improving relationship with citizen, communities and all stakeholders.

The above was the topic presented by SILNAM’s head of Software Engineering Mr Utame Purdassee at the recent ICT Summit 2015. SILNAM participated at this annual 2 day event organised by the Ministry of ICT. The break-away session was well attended and very interactive. By way of its participation and sponsorship for these types of events, SILNAM is geared to participate in the development of the ICT Sector in Namibia.
